Long Time, No Blog

Long Time, NO blog.. Sorry. I have had a hard time keeping up with things and finally sat down to update you all on our busy lives.

Parker with his "Monkey". This monkey goes everywhere with us and sleeps with Parker....

First I will update you on the happenings in the life of FORD ARTHUR...

Ford has become scared of lots of things lately. He is scared of rain, bugs, elevators, riding toys. We were driving down the road the other day and it was raining and he began to cry and said, "That Rain Scare Me". And then my mom called me at the school the other day and Ford was hysterical. It was storming and hailing and she couldn't get him to calm down. She said he was saying "I want my momma, rain scare me." She finally (at 1o:30 in the morning) asked him if he wanted to take a nap and when they woke up the rain would be gone and he quickly took her up on that offer. If you know my boys, then you know that they love their naps and are normally very willing to go down. And alot of times Ford tells me "I go to bed".

Below is a picture of him on a truck that moved at Chuckee Cheese which he hated and told me, "Help, I fall out.." It was quite comical.. so I had to snap a picture before I got him out.

This morning Ford was banging a toy on the coffee table and Parker said "Ford if you do that Momma won't like you anymore". Ford quickly said back "No, Momma like Me, Daddy like you"! Brian and I both died laughing. Some of the things kids say!!! Ford is talking very well now and as Brian puts it "When did you start talking so good and so much!!!" ha!!!

And now moving on to PARKER DYLAN...

Parker is busy as ever and doing great in school. He is trying to join the "50" club by counting to 50. When they do this their teacher takes them and lets them pick something out of the snack machine. He can do it sometimes but most times skips forty and goes straight to 50, so we are working on remembering 40 and hopefully he'll joint he 50 club soon and then we will move on to 100. State madates say that they only need to count to 10 in Pre-k. Is that not absurd.. Ford can do that at 2 1/2 and has been doing so for a while.

Parker had his first actual realization of what death means the other night. I was watching a lifetime movie and didn't really think he was paying attention and then he crawled up on the couch beside me right at the time some boys grandmother died and this is how the conversation went from there....

P (Parker)- "What Happened"

M (Momma) - "The boys grandma died"

P - "Oh, she was sick and died? So, when people get sick they die?"

M - "Not always but sometimes people do get sick and die."

P - "Is their grandma ever coming back"

M - "No, honey when people die they don't come back"

P - bursts out in tears and in utter hysteria says "I don't like this movie, it makes my eyes burn"

Then we were watching spiderman which he has watched a million times and when Peter Parkers uncle died parker started crying and said "Peter Parker's uncle isn't coming back is he momma?" So, I think he now understands a little more what death is all about. He is very sensative and emotional... Just like his momma!!!!

Parker is so sweet and affectionate. When he sees me at school he raises his arms and says "HUG" and proceeds to give me a hug and a kiss and it doesn't matter who is around. I hope he doesn't ever decide that hugging his momma in front of people isn't "cool". I love to see a high school boy who will still hug their mom in front of people.. It just melts my heart.

Little boys sure are special and they sure do "LOVE THIER MOMMAS" and this Momma sure does LOVE HER LITTLE BOYS!!!
